It’s typical isn’t it, you spend ages choosing your child a gift, lots of money buying it and then all they’re interested in is the box. Well instead of waiting to be disappointed on you child’s birthday why not use some supermarket boxes and have fun on a boring hot (or rainy) weekday afternoon.
Days before moving to Dubai we had a house full of boxes ready to pack and no toys, as they’d already made it into boxes. So, packing boxes were about the only option for a fun filled afternoon in the garden. I was absolutely amazed by the fun the kids had and the fun I had with them. OK so Maddy was just 3 and Harvey 1 but I think they’d still appreciate them now 2 years on. So, mental note, next supermarket trip, get some boxes.
